Pizza > Volleyball

So everyday after school I check I dig my phone out of my pocket so I can listen to music on it in my car. [even though it can only fit like 7 songs on it, but hey, i dont have an mp3 player so i am quite content with it] I was surprised to see I had a new text message. I rarely get text messages so of couse I was all over it like oh my gosh. But of course it was just my mom.
"can you come earlier tonite? thought we could go to the vb game at 6 and grab something to eat b4 hand." So yeah, to clear things up, my parents are divorced so I switch houses every couple of days. Today was the day I went to my mom's house&I usually dont leave until like 5:30&it was already passed 3.
Also, I'm not even a a big fan of sports. No-in fact, I don't like sports with a passion. I just don't really see the appeal. [&I've also been hit in the head&face in every sport I've ever played] So why would I want to sit through a volleyball game? I've never even been to a volleyball game before. My mom knows me too well though, &to convince me to go anywhere, she promises food.
So I high-tailed it to my mom's house [a 20 minute drive] as soon as I could to find out she's not even home yet. So I just went inside, let my dogs outside, &flipped on the tv. I couldn't find the actual remote to change the channel, so I was stuck on the Lifetime channel watching Wife Swap. By the time my mom got home&was ready to go, I had gotten way into the episode&refused to leave until I found out what happened to the families after the swap. By the time the episode ended, it was already 6&the volleyball game had started.
My mom is trying to make shortcuts to the school where the game is, but each one ended in a dead end due to road construction. We were only like 10 minutes late.
When we found a parking spot, we had a hard time finding the entrance to the school. Each door we found was locked. We saw a nun walk by us [its a catholic school apparently] &we followed her like ninjas to an unlocked door at the front of the school. [well duh]
Found out quickly why my mom even wanted to go to this volleyball game when I saw her wave at her boyfriend who was sitting in the bleachers. His daughter was on the volleyball team playing&wanted to watch her play.
I was hoping for this game to end fast because I just wanted to eat. I hadn't eaten after school because of my mom's promise for food and all I had for lunch was a slice of school pizza&some cantaloupe. Her boyfriend was kind enough to buy me some m&ms at the game though. He also bought my mom popcorn..which I ended up eating anyways.
The only thing I found amusing about the game was the fact that the home team had a mascot. Like a guy dressed up in a smelly, bulky suit. I thought this stuff only existed in movies because I've never seen a mascot before. This mascot just like walked around for 30 seconds holding a sign that said "i heart the pep band" before sitting down the rest of the game. It didn't seem like he was there to even cheer for his team playing. Which I probably assumed why because their team kind of sucked&they lost.
I was so happy because I thought, yay we can leave now! But no. Apparently volleyball games are best 2 out of 3. What is this? Rock, paper, scissors?
Well in the end, the home team ended up losing anyways. I really see no point in this 2 out of 3 thing.
After the game, my mom&I went out to get pizza. Pizza twice in a day huh? That's how I roll.

But hey, tomorrow's friday. Friday the 13th! &you know what that means.... *cue thunder&lightning* That's right....
It's the Legend of Korra book 2 premiere!! ;D I am pretty excited!
