Beyond The Feels

"Judgement prevent us from seeing the good that lies beyond appearances." -Wayne Dyer

Kyoukai no Kanata [Beyond The Boundary] ended last week, and I was so moved by the ending that I decided to write out my feelings about it. [Corrin, if you're reading this, I did, indeed, cry over this anime]
---this will contain spoilers---
Everything about this anime was beautiful. The art, the plotline, the animation, the characters. It is very much a show worth watching. At first, I thought it a very mediocre show. I'm not used to watching Slice of Life animes, so I guess that's why it struck me as boring at first. But as the story progressed, the more I got into it. It was an emotional rollercoaster ride of feels, from stomach-hurting laughter to just feeling like gross sobbing in a corner.

How To Make A GIF [using photoshop]

Dun nuh nuh, I'm bored. It's come to the point where not even anime or the Sims 3 is entertaining me at the moment, so I'm just playing around with photoshop making random gifs. So, I figured, why not tell other people how to do so? I'll show you how to make a GIF out of a video clip.
It's really quite simple once you learn. [I even added little shitty screenshots, so bear with me]

So what you want to do is open up your little photoshop app thingamabob.

The Riddler Who Can't Solve Riddles Theory

The Riddler Who Can't Solve Riddles, a song sung by a vocaloid, Kagamine Len.
The song is about a murder that takes place, and they're trying to figure out who the culprit is. There are many theories to this song, and I also have one of my own. It's a bit confusing to comprehend, as I'm still confused myself, but it's all a matter of trying to solve it. [if that's even possible]

Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

So it's October. What better way to spend the weekend but to watch some horror anime?

I thought about rewatching Another, but I felt like watching something new. So I was going through the list and one title in particular caught my eye. Corpse Party: Tortured Souls. Now where have I heard that before? Maybe when I was looking at horror rp games to play.. So I of course clicked on it and watched it. And let me tell you.
This anime is not at all for faint-hearted. nu-uh. This anime is filled with gore and blood. You're probably thinking, oh that's not that bad. NO.
I'M TALKING GORE AND BLOOD EVERYWHERE. THERE ARE KIDS. KIDS GETTING THEIR TONGUES CUT OFF WITH SCISSORS. THEIR EYES ARE BEING GOUGED OUT. GUTS ARE SPILLING OUT EVERYWHERE. MAGGOTS. BLOOD. GUTS. INTESTINES. EVERRRYWHERE. I AM NOT KIDDING AROUND.
There's only four episodes, so I was like, hey, I'll just watch it all at once. [though i do this even if theres like 24 episodes to an anime whatt] I only tend to all the episodes to an anime straight-through if it's really good, and I'm into it. But by the third episode, I had to step away for a bit. All this gore are getting to be a little too much. Even for me.
But after about a half hour, I eventually went back and watched the last episode.
THAT ENDING THOUGH. I'm really mad.

This anime apparently came out during the summer. It's only just an OVA too. This anime is based off the game, Corpse Party.

Meganebu!

So it's out. The anime I've been curious to watch since maybe the beginning of August.
The anime that is to target the Free! fanbase. The new "Free!" The anime about 5 guys wearing glasses in a glasses club.
Meganebu!
Let me cringe at how ridiculous it sounds.
&ridiculous doesn't even begin to describe it. omg
What even is this? [they do this pose too many times tbh]

All I have to say is that these guys are really passionate about glasses with their mediocre animation.
So far all I know is that their main goal is to make some X-Ray glasses that can see through stuff??
I don't know they got all freaked out&excited because their school was having a vision test. A VISION TEST. Like okay. That's what glasses people would get excited over I guess..

I can't tell if they're making fun of Free! in a way...or if this show is actually being serious. I really can't.
From the first episode I'm rating it 4/10. It was bad. But then again, this was only the first episode. [oh gosh]
I really have no desire to watch any more when they come out, but I will anyways to see if it gets any better. Because I never like to judge an anime until I watch a couple episodes of it. [same goes with any show I guess]

First Impressions Of Fall Anime pt. 1

Today wasn't exactly the best day of my life. [just smile&wave erin] But hey, at least when I got home from school I discovered some of the fall anime on my watch list had started.

The first one I watched was Kill la Kill.
It has kind of that older anime art style, but don't let that throw you off. At first, I did not like it. I didn't see the appeal to it at all, but then again I was only 5 minutes into it, and super confused as to what I was even watching. This dude is killed in like the first two minutes of the episode for stealing this school uniform that apparently gives you like superhuman powers. That was the intro. I was like, what is even going on?? I didn't get interested in the episode until about 15 minutes into it, which is basically after watching most of the show. That was also when I realized what the whole plot of the show was and everything started to make sense. Like wow this is actually really good. Everything in this show is widely exaggerated and it has some comical parts to it. I can definitely see now why people think it will be the new 'hype.' I look forward to the next episode.

Next was Kyoukai no Kanata.
So it starts out with this dude narrating, watching this girl stand on a rooftop, looking like she's going to jump off and kill herself. He runs up to the roof and tries to talk her out of it by saying that she looks good in her glasses and that he liked girls with glasses??? SO SHE FREAKING JUMPS OVER TO HIM AND STABS HIM WITH THIS SWORD SHE MADE OUT OF HER OWN BLOOD. He was apparently totally cool with it because apparently he's immortal or something and behold, that is how they became friends. [what] I couldn't really tell at that point if this was going to be like a love story or what.
After the episode ended, I still couldn't tell if it was like a love story or not ahaha. I'm still trying to get a grasp as to what the main plot of the series is, but then again it's a slice of life anime, so it's not going to have like a main-main sort of plot I guess.

Meganebu and Pupa are still yet to come out. Pupa is supposed to come out tomorrow, so I'll maybe get to watch that then. Meganebu is the only one I've been been waiting for to start, but that's not until next week. But so far, my fall anime is looking good. ^-^

Fall Anime 2013

All of my summer anime ended. Them being Free!, Attack On Titan, Blood Lad, WATAMOTE,  &Danganronpa.
So now I need to look into the fall anime coming out. I have come up with a list of some that looked interesting. Tumblr is still freaking out over the summer anime that just ended, but I'm sure soon enough they'll be posting about the new fall anime&I'll start watching whatever is popular. [popular anime means good anime woo]

So far I've got:

Meganebu!
[october 3/4]
I couldn't find the synopsis for this but apparently this anime is about these 5 guys that wear glasses in a glasses club. [sound ridiculous yet?] This anime is supposed to target the Free! fan base, which is partially why I'm going to watch it. I mean, just the sound of it is ridiculous. Just like Free! was at first, so I'm not going to judge it too hard at the moment. [even though I am totally judging it aha] I always like to pick some sort of ridiculous sounding/looking show to watch ironically, and this is it. Watch me get super into it. [this better not be a huge trap for feels like Free! was..but which I highly doubt it (maybe]

Pupa
[october 5]
"The "life-and-death sibling" story follows Utsutsu and Yume Hasegawa, a boy and his little sister who find themselves all alone. One day, Yume sees a mysterious red butterfly and her body undergoes a strange metamorphosis—into a creature that eats humans. Utsutsu struggles to find a way to restore his sister."

This is supposed to be a horror anime. [which i dig] It looked pretty interesting to me, even though I am still confused as with the whole sister being a man-eating butterfly thing or whatever. Should be pretty radical. ahaha

Diabolik Lovers
[mondays?]
"Komori Yui is a positive-thinking girl who nevertheless is troubled by seeing spirits and experiencing poltergeist phenomena. In her second year in high school, she transfers to a new school—a night school for entertainers and celebrities—due to her father's work. There are rumours that vampires exist among the student body, and Yui ends up living with the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers."

Someone suggested this to me and so yeah, I started watching it. The first three episodes are already out, so I watched all of those today. The episodes are also only 15 minutes long. From what I saw, it's a ditzy girl, Yui, who is dropped off at this mansion by her father who says that's where she is supposed to live now. But hey--turns out there are these 6 vampire brothers who live there who are like constantly trying to suck her blood and make sure she knows of it. If I were this girl, I'd be wearing turtlenecks all the time, I mean come on.

Kyoukai no Kanata
[october 2/3]
"The dark fantasy follows a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Although the boy appears human, he is half youmu and invulnerable to wounds because he can heal quickly. One day, Akihito meets freshman Mirai Kuriyama when it seems she is about to jump from the school rooftop. Mirai is isolated because of her ability to manipulate blood, which is unique even among members of the spirit world. Disturbing events begin to unfold after Akihito saves Mirai."

I really don't know why this is on my list. I saw a gif of this girl kicking ass with a sword&found out it was this anime, so I was just like, why not?

Kill la Kill
[october 3/4]
"The story is set on a high school that the student council president Satsuki Kiryuuin rules by force. Wielding a giant Basami scissors sword, the wandering transfer student Ryuuko Matoi brings about upheaval on the campus. Ryuuko searches for the mysterious figure who caused her father's death, but confronting her are the student council's "four divine kings." Fortunately, Ryuuko is aided by a talking sailor uniform who tells her, "Wear me. When I am worn by you, this power will become manifest."

People are predicting this to be the new hype. Like the new 'Attack on Titan.' [which they cannot replace no no no] People are already freaking out over it. But that's why it's on my list though. I never judge an anime until I'm like a couple episodes into it. It looks to me like it has a bit of a Soul Eater art style which is pretty cool. Maybe it will have that same feel too?

&that's basically all I've found so far that looks to interest me at the moment. Most are to begin this week, which is pretty exciting. Wow I don't even know why I'm doing this. It's so agonizing to wait for new episodes each week. ;-;
ah wells.
happy times! ^-^
